Connie and Herb have been performing together for a decade. They met on a Sunday morning at a church gig playing Dixieland Jazz. They have been great friends and collaborators ever since.

Connie Dussl
Connie is a native Minnesota resident, and has sung and taught voice and piano in the Minneapolis/St. Paul area for many years. She was on the faculty at West Bank School of Music for many years, and now teaches in her private studio. She was one of the co-founders of Mill City Mix, a vocal quartet that performed in the style of the Modernaires, the Pied Pipers, and Manhattan Transfer. She has been a lead singer with Minnesota Jazz Orchestra, and many other Twin City bands. She currently is the featured vocalist (or “Chirp” as Joe Swierczek calls her) in Pizzazz Jazz.

Herb Reinke
Born in Milwaukee Wisconsin Herb started playing the guitar at the age of 12 after mastering the easier to play ukulele.  He credits his playing ability to dedicated music teachers including the great guitarists Johnny Smith and Mike Elliott.

At age 20 Herb earned a position in the US Navy Band, Washington DC. During his career Herb has backed entertainers including Perry Como, Marty Robbins, Eddy Arnold as well as appearances with the Doc Severinsen Big Band. He has also performed the guitar parts for Broadway shows including “West Side Story”, “Buddy Holly”, “Oklahoma”, “Grease”, “Cats”, “Funny Girl”, and “Jesus Christ Superstar”. Herb now lives in Andover MN and performs throughout the Twin Cities of Minneapolis and St. Paul.
